Silk was born Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Silk is her father's daughter Peter Silk, who was a professor at the University of New Brunswick, as well as Ilkay Silk, a playwright and director. She was also known as an actress. Anna remembers her mother working and attending play rehearsals. Silk appeared in several commercials as a child. Silk was a graduate of St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was active in at least two early theater productions, including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved to Toronto in order to perform and advance in November, 1999. The following decade saw her move into Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007, after they met at an Actorsworkshop located in Los Angeles. In 2009 they were legally married in December of 2009. The couple renewed their vows on April 10, 2011, in Fredericton following the wedding, when the bride was converted to Judaism.
