Zoe-perry

Perry was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Perry made her debut in the television screen in the role of Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on the ABC sitcom Roseanne. Fearing stress, her parents did not want to see the actress pursue acting until she turned 18. Perry said she felt timid to perform at the age of 16, but she began performing in theater classes at Northwestern University as a way to connect with people following her transfer from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University, moved into New York in search of television roles. Perry was able to land small roles on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homelessness led her to California for theater roles. Perry starred with her mother on stage in The Other Place at Broadway the previous year. In 2015, she starred with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC drama The Family in 2016. Her father played her character in her role on the ABC drama Scandal. She played the role of a younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off series that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. Despite having a family connection to the character she received the role through an audition.
